The Shark Jack is a portable, pocket-sized network penetration testing and automation tool from Hak5 — engineered to give cybersecurity professionals, red teamers, and systems administrators powerful wired network reconnaissance, exploitation and automation capabilities at a moment’s notice.

What It Is

This compact gadget is essentially a tiny Linux computer optimised for hotplug network attacks and opportunistic wired auditing. Once connected to a network, it can instantly execute advanced payloads — from scanning and data exfiltration to automated scripting — using Hak5’s familiar payload architecture with Bash and DuckyScript™ support.

Available in two variants:

  • Standalone Edition — battery powered and designed for quick field deployment.

  • Cable Edition — USB-C powered with live serial console and interactive shell access for deeper control and development.
