I have a HD PVR 2P decoder with Xtraview capability. I have the decoder and a TV in the lounge and now I want another TV in the room, but I want to watch 2 different channels at the same time. Will this transmitter and a remote be all I need to do that? Answer:
Hi Albertus. If you want to watch 2 different channels at the same time, you would need 2 Xtraview capable decoders installed or a decoder that can view 2 channels simultaneously (unfortunately these aren't available new any more).
  • Asked by Tim

when installed, can the tv in the lounge watch a different channel from the tv in the bedroom using one decoder? Answer:
Hi Tim. No, Channel will be the same on both TVs as the RCA wireless transmitter only sends what is currently playing on the decoder. You would need an xtra view or second decoder for a different channel

I have purchased this unit last week but despite reading the instructions, I have no clue how to connect it up! I cannot "Google " it because it has no name. Lastly can it be connected to a computer as the receiver Answer:
The transmitter connects to your DSTV decoder. The receiver then connects to the 2nd TV. You then need to make sure both units are set on the same channel (set on the bottom of the unit). You can connect it to a computer as a receiver with a device like this: http://www.geewiz.co.za/home/16-easycap-usb-video-capture-card-converts-vhs-camera-to-dvd-ezcap-172.html

I'd like to use this device to provide remote channel changing capability from another room in those via the dualview decoder. I'm assuming this is all I need?I'd plug the transmitter into the dualview decoder, then set the remote to change the single specific channel on the decoder... correct? Answer:
That is correct - it will connect to the dualview and then the remote blaster will allow you to change channels remotely also

can this kit be used to transmit cctv signal.this site makes it virtually impossible to run cables, from the camera site to the recording device is 110metres,line of site, also will it pick up interference from other wireless devices in the area,e.g.wi-fi,2way radio,,etc Answer:
You can transmit CCTV signals as long as they are analogue and use BNC to RCA converters. It can go up to 150m, provided there is no interference and complete line of site. If there is any interference in the 2.4ghz band or there is no line of site, the range is significantly reduced.

  • Asked by Renato
    on 14/01/2017
The distance is not the issue. Most the home gadgets ,cordless phone , microwave , routers etc. use 4.2ghz frequency, therefore the AV sender will be subject to interference. A 5.8 GHz would be better since very few gadgets have 5.8 GHZ frequency. do you stock 5.8 GHZ rca av senders ? Answer:
We find the 5.8ghz version to have a much shorter range than the 2.4ghz version. However, we are getting a few 5.8ghz units in. I will contact you as soon as we have it available.
  • Asked by Renato
    on 15/01/2017
Thanks. Apparently the Pakite 630 5.8 GHz can transmit up to 200 meters. However will wait on your product. Regards. Answer:
Yes, 200m would be correct in open line of site. As soon as you start adding walls, the distance decreases dramatically. It decreases even further on 5.8ghz owing to its higher frequency being less penetrable

I am looking for a low power UHF/VHF TV transmitter. I collect old TVs many of which have no separate video/rf input and rely on only a telescope antenna - thus a RF signal is required. Perhaps an RF amp connected to the output of a video recorder and then an antenna might work? Answer:
Hi, Unfortunately we do not do RF devices (including RF amps)

Hi there Anthony Unfortunately we do not have a specific ETA since we are busy testing a more powerful 5GHz version of this product.
